"Nashville authorities have not yet confirmed that former NFL MVP Steve McNair was killed in a murder/suicide, but the details that have emerged in the wake of his death seem to point in that direction.
McNair, 36, was found dead at a downtown Nashville, TN condominium on Saturday. The body of the retired quarterback's girlfriend, 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, was also discovered dead from a single gunshot to the head. Police say they recovered a semiautomatic pistol from beneath her body, and that McNair had been shot four times.
McNair was married to another woman - Mechelle McNair, who has made no comment since her husband's death - but the Tennessean reports that he had been seriously involved with Kazemi, a Dave and Buster's waitress. The pair had been seeing each other for about six months; McNair had even gifted her with a Cadillac Escalade for her May birthday. Kazemi's relatives say McNair had even discussed marrying Kazemi, although he did not appear to be in the process of divorce at the time of his death."
