Plaxico Burress Is Going To Jail.

According to Fox News Burress will be the first dummy to go to jail for shooting himself.
Robert Morgenthau told the newspaper that Burress, who shot himself with an unlicensed gun in November, was willing to agree to spend a year in jail, but prosecutors insisted on two, the Post reported.

"We've always taken the position that he's going to have to go to jail, whether by trial or by plea," Morgenthau told the Post for a story in Monday's edition.Robert Morgenthau told the newspaper that Burress, who shot himself with an unlicensed gun in November, was willing to agree to spend a year in jail, but prosecutors insisted on two, the Post reported.

The Hookah Manuals - Chapter1 Excerpt

As a nurturer, I have the tendency to covet and consume my mates. For most of my life, I have believed in the now-comical mantra, You complete me. So there I was, looking for a man to complete me, giving him all of me in the hopes he would return the favor and make his every waking breath my own. With each boyfriend, I wanted to go where he went and do what he did, and I would make myself available day and night, without compromise. In one of my more intense relationships, I even canceled sections of my first book tour to follow my lover as he traveled the country. I was a no-show at Temple University and several other prestigious higher learning establishments, skipping speaking engagements just to be "completed" by him. He was a nocturnal creature and, though I cherished my sleep, I would force myself to stay awake in the wee hours of the morning to be with him, forsaking rest and comfort. I would hop atop his kitchen counter at four in the morning as he juiced fresh, organic vegetables and fruits and would never share in the nectar. I'd watch him drink. I just wanted to be near him. I just wanted to be "completed."

I lost myself in him and, ironically, began to resent him because he had his own life and I didn't! He didn't complete me after all! We even made a funny little saying that wound up not being the slightest bit funny: "You deplete me." That, ladies, is the sum of all parts when you cease being a singular individual before, and especially after, you are no longer single.

Vick, Roethlisberger, and Kobe.......

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is having the offseason of a lifetime. He led his team to their second Super Bowl since taking over as starter during his rookie campaign.

He has a burger named after him, posted a score in the 80s at Bethpage Black during the week of the U.S. Open, and played pretty well this past week at the Lake Tahoe celebrity golf tournament.

Things were going pretty swimmingly for Ben, at least until a few days ago.

Big Ben has been accused of rape by Andrea McNulty, a casino host at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and claims that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her.

Ben has called the allegations "false and vicious" and has promised to fight the pending lawsuit.

Mistakenly, ESPN ran the story on its bottom line stating that Roethlisberger raped the young lady instead of being accused of the deed.

During a press conference held by the quarterback, he had his coach Mike Tomlin, agent Ryan Tollner, and attorney David Cornwell by his side.

This story regarding Ben has traction, but not as much as you think it would. ESPN has it listed on its web site, but it's not front-page news.

In completely contrasting but similar situations, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was accused of dog fighting around the same time two years ago.

Vick was immediately demonized by animal activists and dropped from corporate sponsors. While I disagreed with the severity of his punishment, Vick did lie about his involvement with dog fighting.

He also lied to his boss, the commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell, which in turn caused a very harsh penalization to be handed down.
However, Vick spent two years in prison for dog fighting and is still on indefinite suspension from the NFL. According to NFL sources, Goodell is likely to extend Vick's suspension four more games into the new season.

So I'm guessing doing two years of hard time isn't enough to warrant a second chance to play football? What Vick did was wrong and most of all it was stupid. But everyone that lives in this nation is entitled to a second chance at life.

The point of serving time in prison is to pay one's debt to society, which Vick has done.

NBA baller Kobe Bryant was accused of the same crime as Roethlisberger a few years ago. He lost corporate sponsors, fans, and was an endorsement nightmare for the NBA.

Kobe was eventually acquitted of his supposed crime. Turns out the woman that accused him of rape was telling a lie and actually had consensual sex with the four-time NBA champion.

Bryant was wrong in the fact that he committed adultery by sleeping with the young lady. Kobe was demonized by the media and some of his fans for what he did.

Eventually Bryant bounced back to win another NBA championship and eventually gain corporate sponsorship.

The blaring difference between these three athletes is the obvious, skin color. I'm not crying racism or bigotry in the case of Ben Roethlisberger, but there is a media bias for Ben.

Kobe was front page news for ESPN, CNN, and any other news outlet willing to tell about his story. Same thing for Michael a couple of summers ago when he couldn't get away from the radicals that call themselves PETA.

Ben on the other hand seems to be flying a little under the radar.

A small article on ESPN, a mention on SportsCenter, and a crawl on CNN is all that Ben's getting so far. Maybe the media is trying a different approach with Roethlisberger, giving him the benefit of the doubt before he's judged.

By no means am I stating that Ben is guilty. In fact, from what I've read I believe that he's probably telling the truth. However, if it were Dwight Howard or Ryan Howard the story would probably have more legs.

For some odd reason it seems that black athletes behaving badly receive more attention than a white guy that plays quarterback for the Super Bowl champions.

In light of "Skip" Gates being arrested for breaking into his own home, it seems that African-Americans are still better for bad news than good.

TI's Fed Up With Tiny's Show!

Many sources have reported that T.I. is unhappy with Tiny putting their life on display with her new BET show "Tiny and Toya".

But interestingly enough, we hear that T.I. has taken things a step further and requested to BET execs that the show be pulled off the air immediately!!

T.I. was against the show from the beginning but wanted to let Tiny live a little and try to revive her career. But sources close to the situation say that once he actually watched the show in prison, he was embarrassed and royally pissed about the way the BET show portrays his fiance and the mother of his children.

BET has no intention of pulling the show off the air at this time, but the real question is: Will Tiny buckle under T.I.'s pressure and scrap the whole thing immediately??? I wonder if Lil Wayne feels the same as T.I.. - Egypt Said So

Bill Cosby Speaks On Pres. Obama Speaking On Havard Prof.'s Arrest

On a Boston radio program this morning, Bill Cosby suggested that President Obama spoke too soon on the controversial arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.
I've heard about five different reports [on the details of the arrest],  Cosby said on Bostons WZLX. If Im the president of the United States, I don?t care how much pressure people want to put on it about race, I'm keeping my mouth shut.?
I was shocked to hear the president making this kind of statement, Cosby said referring to the president's remarks during last night?s press conference.
The comedian appeared to have dialed his comments back a bit in a later interview on Boston's FOX 25 television station. Cosby cautioned those from coming up with their own conclusions, but gave the president some leeway.
People who have not been there, people who don't know are beginning to have their own personal feelings, but they weren't there, Cosby said.
Does this include the president? asked the FOX25 reporter.
It includes everybody, Cosby said. [But] I would have to take into consideration that he lived in Cambridge for some time so he may know more than he's saying about situations of that sort, Cosby said.

Update! Kelis' Milkshake Costs $44,000

According to TMZ, Kelis just hit the jackpot in court today -- a judge awarded her a ton of money in her bitter divorce battle with estranged hubby Nas.

A judge decided Nas has to pay Kelis $44,000 a month in combined spousal and child support -- plus the mortgage on their L.A. residence.

Nas also has to pay Kelis -- who gave birth last night to the couple's only child -- for the baby nurse, prenatal expenses and medical insurance.

The rapper also has to pay $35,000 to Kelis' lawyer, Laura Wasser.

Mike didn't have a nose?

Michael Jackson wore a prosthetic nose, according a report -- and it was missing from his surgically mangled face as he lay in an LA morgue.
Left behind was a small, dark hole surrounded by bits of cartilage, Rolling Stone magazine said, citing witnesses who saw the King of Pop's body on the autopsy table.
Jackson, who was notoriously shy about his appearance, wore the prosthetic to mask the effects of decades of plastic surgery, according to the magazine, due to hit newsstands today. - Page6

I hate Ciara's Stylist

Dear Ciara's Stylist,

You are fired, enough is enough! We can no longer take the atrocities that you call fashion and hairstyles. I think you are holding a personal grudge against this poor child. That new wig is horrible, the braids to the back was 1990 -Poetic Justice-ish, and all of your recent choices for fashion sucked. Evertime I see her makeup, hair, and outfit it never flows. Its like her "Momma n Dem" couldn't agree with what to put on her.  If she's going to compete with the rest of the talentless then she needs to step her style game up immediately or she will disappear into obscurity with the rest of the talentless with no style.

Thanks
