These pieces no longer inspired by Blair Waldorf?
Anna Sui's much-anticipated collection for Target is set to hit stores this fall, but it's unclear if it will still be marketed as a "Gossip Girl-inspired" line. Essentially, the company is reportedly uncomfortable being associated with a show in which teenagers get drunk, high, and do other questionable things all the time.
The New York Daily News reports that Target pulled out of an agreement to film a scene of Gossip Girl in one of Anna Sui's New York stores (with models as extras wearing Sui's designs for Target in the background) last minute. An insider said, "The crew was thrown into a frenzy because they had to scrap everything they had planned. They can't believe Target would bail on them, especially after publicly announcing the collaboration. It's Target's loss, because the line would have sold better if it had played a part in the show
